Being one of the oldest churches in Coral Gables and having changed very little since its origination, the First United Methodist Church decided it was time for a fresh look.
Robb & Stucky designer, Madeline Rodriguez was asked to remodel two rooms at the church: the brides room and grooms room.
Knowing the rooms would be used for marriages, counseling, and spiritual activity, Madeline said she wanted the interior design to be "neutral but elegant." The rooms were both originally very traditional. Needing a modern design that would look great for years, Madeline combined transitional with contemporary. As an example she said " the grooms room has a marble table with silver which is contemporary but it's paired with traditional chairs." The overall design is timeless.
